As a child, I trained in jazz and tap with Donna Newman in Midlothian, Texas. As a preteen and teenager, I trained in ballet with Judy Pelusi and briefly at Dallas Black Dance Theater. I studied dance at Texas A&M University and while in college danced with the EmSu Dance Company as a principal dancer and with Chara Dance Company. After college, I taught and performed throughout Texas and North Carolina, including teaching at Rhythm Dancers (Midlothian, TX), Ninth Street Dance (Durham, NC), Suzanne's School of Dance (College Station, TX), and Dance Xplosion (Austin, TX), and performing with Blank Slate Dance Company (Durham, NC) and the ONE Dance Company (Austin, TX). While in Austin, TX, I began training in the Cecchetti Ballet method with Renata Stanford, and after subsequently moving to St. Louis, MO, I began formally studying for the Cecchetti teacher's exams with Tracy Davenport. I have passed teacher's grades 1-4 exams and am currently studying for the grade 5 exam. While in St. Louis, I also danced with Consuming Kinetics Dance Company. Most recently, I've worked with Killian Manning/No Forwarding Address based out of Chapel Hill, NC.
